- OXEN GOLD 515EC is a post emergence herbicide for control of annual grasses and broad leaved weeds in cotton & onions.
- OXEN GOLD 515EC is designed to address the significant reduction in productivity caused by annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in crops such as cotton and onions, particularly during the early stages of growth. These weeds compete aggressively with crops for essential resources including nutrients, moisture, and sunlight, thereby suppressing crop growth and establishment. As a result, crop yield and quality are adversely affected, while the cost of weed management increases. Failure to control these weeds in a timely and effective manner can lead to severe crop losses and reduced overall farm profitability.
- OXEN GOLD 515EC is a post-emergence herbicide formulated for the control of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in cotton and onions.
- Mode of Action
- Pendimethalin, a dinitroaniline herbicide in Herbicide Resistance Action Committee HRAC Group 3, Oxyfluorfen, a diphenyl ether herbicide in HRAC Group 14, and Acetochlor, a chloroacetamide herbicide in HRAC Group 15. Pendimethalin acts by inhibiting microtubule assembly during cell division, preventing normal root and shoot development in germinating weed seedlings. Oxyfluorfen acts by inhibiting protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO), causing accumulation of phototoxic compounds that lead to membrane destruction, rapid tissue necrosis, and death of susceptible weeds. Acetochlor acts by inhibiting the synthesis of very long chain fatty acids (VLCFAs), disrupting cell division and growth in emerging shoots and roots. Together, these active ingredients provide broad-spectrum pre-emergence and early post-emergence weed control through complementary modes of action, resulting in inhibited germination, impaired growth, tissue destruction, and eventual death of susceptible weeds.

- Fill the spray tank halfway with clean water
- Add the recommended amount of OXEN GOLD 515EC
- Top up with the remaining water
- Stir or agitate thoroughly to ensure uniform mixture
- Apply immediately after mixing

- Application Guidelines
