- PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
- BOTYNIL 400 SC is a broad-spectrum fungicide formulated as a Suspension Concentrate (SC) containing Pyrimethanil 320 g/L and Fludioxonil 80 g/L. It is specifically designed for the effective control of Botrytis (Grey Mold) in roses. The combination of two active ingredients with different modes of action provides strong preventive, protective, and curative activity against fungal infections, helping maintain healthy plants and high-quality blooms.
- BOTYNIL 400 SC delivers long-lasting disease protection through contact activity and residual efficacy, making it an effective tool for integrated disease management programs and resistance management strategies.
- MODE OF ACTION
- BOTYNIL 400 SC combines two fungicides from different FRAC groups to provide effective disease control and resistance management. Pyrimethanil belongs to the Anilino-Pyrimidine class of fungicides (FRAC Group 9) and acts primarily as a contact preventive fungicide with some curative activity. It inhibits methionine biosynthesis and prevents the secretion of enzymes required for fungal cell wall degradation, thereby suppressing sporulation and fungal development. Fludioxonil belongs to the Phenylpyrrole class of fungicides (FRAC Group 12) and is a broad-spectrum, non-systemic fungicide with preventive, protective, and curative properties. It disrupts osmotic signal transduction and inhibits transport-associated phosphorylation of glucose, resulting in reduced mycelial growth and fungal development.
