  • MODE OF ACTION
  • Azoxystrobin is a strobilurin fungicide in Fungicide Resistance Action Committee FRAC Group 11, and Tebuconazole, a triazole fungicide in FRAC Group 3. Azoxystrobin acts by inhibiting mitochondrial respiration through blockage of electron transfer at the Qo site of cytochrome bc1 complex (Complex III), preventing energy production in fungal cells. This disrupts spore germination, mycelial growth, and fungal development. Tebuconazole is a systemic fungicide that acts by inhibiting C14-demethylase, an enzyme involved in ergosterol biosynthesis. This disrupts fungal cell membrane formation and function, inhibiting mycelial growth and reproduction. Together, the two active ingredients provide preventive, curative, and systemic disease control through complementary modes of action while supporting resistance management.
