• PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

• CHITA 240 SC is an insecticide for control of False codling moth (FCM), Spider mites, Thrips & Caterpillars (Spodoptera exigua) in roses.

• MODE OF ACTION

• Chlorfenapyr belongs to the pyrrole chemical class. It is classified under Group 13 by IRAC. It is a slow-acting pro-insecticide that disrupts cellular energy production. Once a pest absorbs or ingests the chemical, its internal enzymes metabolize it into an active form. This active metabolite shuts down the mitochondria, halting the production of ATP (cellular energy) and leading to the insect’s death.
• Lufenuron belongs to the benzoylurea (or benzoylphenylurea) chemical class of insecticides and insect growth regulators and is classified under Group 15 of IRAC. Within this classification, it functions as an inhibitor of chitin biosynthesis (specifically affecting CHS1), which disrupts the growth and development of insect exoskeletons.

• METHOD OF APPLICATION
• Fill the spray tank with half of the desired quantity of water. Add the recommended amount of CHITA 240 SC and stir thoroughly. Add the remaining amount of water and continue stirring constantly. Spray immediately after mixing.

• Re-entry interval (REI): 12 hours.

• Application Guidelines

1. Foliar spray at the onset of pest attack.
2. Apply 3 times per season at 7 days interval.
3. It is recommended that CHITA 240 SC is alternated with pest control products with a different MODE OF ACTION as well as adhere to good farming practices.
