• K-MEC 18EC is a miticide and insecticide containing Abamectin 18g/L for the effective control of thrips and red spider mites on roses, spider mites and leaf miners on tomatoes, French beans, and snow peas. K-MEC 18EC provides reliable control of damaging mites and mining insects through contact and stomach activity, helping to protect crop quality, improve plant health, and maximize yields.

• MODE OF ACTION

• K-MEC 18EC contains Abamectin, an avermectin insecticide and miticide classified under IRAC Group 6 (Chloride Channel Activators). Abamectin acts primarily through ingestion and contact activity. Once absorbed by insects or mites, it interferes with nerve signal transmission by stimulating the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) system and binding to specific receptors in nerve cells. This disruption causes paralysis, cessation of feeding, and eventual death of the target pest. Abamectin also exhibits translaminar activity, allowing it to penetrate leaf tissues and provide effective control of pests feeding on both sides of the leaf surface.

• METHOD OF APPLICATION

Fill the tank halfway with water. Add the recommended amount of K-MEC 18EC. Add the remaining amount of water while stirring constantly. To achieve optimal results, ensure full plant coverage.

• REI (Re-Entry Interval) It is safe to enter areas treated with K-MEC 18EC after 12 hours.

• APPLICATION GUIDELINES

1. Apply at the first signs of spider mite or leaf miner infestation.
2. Ensure thorough coverage of foliage, especially the undersides of leaves.
3. Apply during periods of active pest development for best results.
4. Repeat applications at intervals of 7–10 days where necessary.
5. Do not exceed the recommended number of applications per season.
6. Rotate with products from different IRAC groups to reduce the risk of resistance development.
7. Avoid spraying during windy conditions or when rainfall is expected shortly after application.
