- MENNO FLORADES 90SL is a soluble liquid (SL) bactericide containing: Benzoic Acid 90 g/L. It is a Bactricide for the Effective Control of Citrus Canker.
- MODE OF ACTION
- Benzoic acid has been used as a bactericidal active ingredient for the control of citrus canker caused by Xanthomonas citri. It acts primarily by disrupting bacterial cell membrane function and interfering with essential metabolic processes within bacterial cells. The acidic environment created by benzoic acid inhibits bacterial growth, multiplication, and spread on plant surfaces. When applied preventively, it helps reduce infection pressure, suppress bacterial development, and protect plant tissues from citrus canker infection. It mainly provides protective activity and is most effective when applied before or at the early stages of disease development.
