PRODUCT INFORMATION
Effective Control of Spider Mites & Nematodes
Are Spider Mites or Nematodes Reducing Your Crop Quality and Yield?
Rose, tomato, and spinach growers often experience serious losses due to pests that attack both above and below the soil surface.
Effects of Pests On crop
- Spider mites causing leaf bronzing, speckling, and webbing in roses
- Reduced flower quality leading to export rejection
- Nematodes causing stunted growth and yellowing in tomatoes and spinach
- Poor root development and reduced plant vigor
- Lower yields and reduced marketable produce
If you’re looking for a reliable solution for spider mites and nematodes, NEMAMECTIN 50EW delivers targeted and effective control.
Category: Insecticide
Type: Contact and translaminar action (foliar & soil application)
MODE OF ACTION
Abamectin is an avermectin insecticide, miticide, and nematicide in IRAC Group 6. Abamectin acts primarily through contact and stomach activity by affecting the nervous system of insects, mites, and nematodes. It binds to and activates glutamate-gated chloride channels, increasing the flow of chloride ions into nerve and muscle cells. This causes hyperpolarization of the cells, disrupting nerve signal transmission and leading to paralysis. Affected pests rapidly cease feeding and eventually die due to irreversible nervous system impairment.
